After the first leg of the Round of 16 Europa League tie against AC Milan ended in a 1-1 draw, Manchester United have it all to play for at the San Siro tomorrow.
Unfortunately, it has emerged that the Red Devils will be without a few of their first-team stars when they travel to take on the Italian giants in one of their most important games of the season.
Manchester United’s official website confirmed that Edinson Cavani had suffered a setback in the final training session before leaving for Milan. Eric Bailly has also not been included in the squad after a late assessment of his fitness.
This means that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be without a couple of very important players when his side takes on Stefano Pioli’s AC Milan.

Both Manchester United players have had their injury issues
Cavani and Bailly have had to deal with their injury issues through the course of the season. At 34 years of age, it is perhaps expected for the Uruguayan. While in the case of Bailly, injuries have probably been the biggest reason why he has failed to nail down a spot in the first-team over the years. It is important to note that Anthony Martial is also sidelined for the game.
Even without them though, the team will be travelling with a pretty strong squad, with Paul Pogba, Donny van de Beek and David de Gea now back in the picture, which is a massive boost for the Red Devils going forward.
This is the squad for the game against AC Milan:
De Gea, Henderson, Grant, Wan-Bissaka, Tuanzebe, Lindelof, Maguire, Shaw, Telles, Williams, Fred, McTominay, Matic, Pogba, Fernandes, Van de Beek, James, Greenwood, Rashford, Amad.
After the first game finished 1-1, Solskjaer’s side will have to at least find the back of the net in Italy if they are to go through to the next round, as a goalless draw would see AC Milan qualify on away goals. Their magnificent away form this season will be a cause for hope though.
