Manchester United may have already found the ‘next Bruno Fernandes’
It is arguable that Bruno Fernandes might be the best signing that Manchester United have made in a decade or so. Arriving in January of 2020, the Portuguese maestro quickly transformed a struggling side into Premier League contenders.
His output has been extraordinary to say the least. In 63 appearances for the Red Devils, he has scored 35 goals and provided 21 assists. And even when he is not at the top of his game, Fernandes finds a way to have an effect on the game. That is the mark of a truly great player.
Surely, the club would like to sign more players of his quality as they aim to return to the top of English football. And they have been linked with Sporting Lisbon star Pedro Goncalves, who has emerged as an absolute star this season, scoring 15 goals and providing 4 assists while playing as a right-winger.
Manchester United may not need to dip into the transfer market though as they might already have the ‘next Bruno Fernandes’ in their ranks.

Hannibal Mejbri might be the next big thing at Manchester United
Manchester United have appointed John Murtough as the club’s first football director. But he has already been with the club for seven years now, having been brought in by David Moyes. And as reported by the Daily Star, during his time with the youth sides, the former head of football development played an important role in uncovering Hannibal Mejbri.
The 18-year-old has been very impressive for the youth sides this season, scoring 4 goals and providing 7 assists in 18 appearances. He mostly plays as a central midfielder although is also capable of playing in the number 10 role.
Mejbri has already been dubbed as the ‘next Bruno Fernandes’ although he is yet to make his senior debut for the Red Devils. There is no denying that he has the world of potential though and let’s hope that he can fulfil that potential, and be the long-term replacement for the Portuguese playmaker in the future.
