Manchester United have enjoyed a great season and currently sit at second in the Premier League table with 10 games left to be played. And although Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City still have a 11-point lead at the top, a brilliant 2-0 win this weekend have kept the Red Devils’ title hopes alive.
It is safe to say that OIe Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have done much better than most people would have expected at the start of the campaign. But there is still room for improvement in this squad, and the club are expected to make signings in the upcoming summer transfer window.
One position that is very strong at the moment is goalkeeper. But with the futures of both David de Gea and Dean Henderson up in the air, Manchester United might have to sign another keeper.
According to Corriere dello Sport and as reported by Football Italia, the Red Devils are keeping a close eye on Gianluigi Donnarumma’s contract situation at AC Milan, with his current deal set to expire at the end of the season.

Donnarumma would be a huge signing for Manchester United
There is no denying that Donnarumma is one of the best goalkeepers on the planet right now. And he is still just 22 years of age, despite having already played 237 times for AC Milan and 22 times for the Italian national team.
Thus, it would be a no-brainer to go after a player of his quality, if he becomes available, especially as a free agent. The Italian international is expected to establish himself as the best goalkeeper in the future.
There is expected to be a lot of competition for his signature though. A number of top clubs have been linked with him, including Chelsea. Thus, if he does indeed become available, United must work swiftly and efficiently to get a deal over the line as soon as possible.
