Solskjaer pushing Manchester United for three signings in the summer
Manchester United have made visible improvement this season under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and currently sit at second in the Premier League table. But Manchester City have a 14 point lead over them at the top with just 11 games to go and it looks like the Red Devils might not have enough in the tank at the moment to go ahead and clinch the title.
Even then, the signs are certainly very encouraging and it would be safe to say that they have done better than most would have expected them to at the start of this campaign.
Now, the focus must be on getting even better and eventually winning the Premier League in the not too distant future. For that to happen, there are multiple areas in the squad which need reinforcements though.
It looks like Solskjaer recognises that and is pushing for three new signings in the summer. According to the Daily Record, he is looking for upgrades in defence, midfield and attack when the transfer window reopens.

Manchester United need to strengthen to challenge for the Premier League title
The Red Devils have come a long way since Solskjaer took over as manager of this team a couple of seasons ago. But it is clear that they need just a bit more to get past that final hurdle.
Defence has an area of concern for quite some time and it looks like the club will need to sign a centre-back who can compliment Harry Maguire at the back.
They will be needing some reinforcements in midfield as well with Nemanja Matic getting up their in age while Paul Pogba might end up leaving in the summer.
Finally, the attack has failed to match their own high standards from last season. Anthony Martial has not been prolific in front of goal. Mason Greenwood has featured mostly down the right flank and has found it difficult at times as well. And while Edinson Cavani is brilliant cover, at 34 years of age, he is not a long-term solution. Thus, the club should probably sign a young striker who can find the back of the net consistently.
