Manchester United want winger from Premier League rivals

Manchester United might have enjoyed a good campaign till now but the ultimate aim of the club will be to eventually get back to winning the Premier League. And while there is still a chance that that could happen this season, it is unlikely considering how good Manchester City have been lately. With 11 games left to be played, they have a 14 point lead at the top of the table.

There is still a gap between the two Manchester clubs. One must also remember that Pep Guardiola’s side have had their fair share of injuries as well through the course of the campaign and still remained very competitive.

On the other hand, the Red Devils have struggled ever since the injury to Paul Pogba in their 3-3 draw against Everton. This instance just shows the difference in squad depth between the two sides.

United will need to sign some top quality players in the upcoming summer transfer window in order to cut down this gap and hopefully lift the Premier League title next season. And one man who has been linked with the club in recent weeks is Leeds United’s Raphinha.

Manchester United are reportedly interested in Leeds United winger

As reported by Express, Manchester United have reportedly made an enquiry regarding the possibility of signing the winger.

Raphinha has been very impressive for Leeds United this season, scoring and assisting 5 times each in the Premier League. And naturally he has drawn the interest of clubs around the country.

Signing him also makes a lot of sense for the Red Devils as they need a right winger. The club tried to sign Jadon Sancho in the previous summer transfer window but failed to meet Borussia Dortmund’s demands. The Leeds United star could prove to be a good alternative who is available for a much lower transfer fee.

He also has a previous connection with Bruno Fernandes, which could be another huge reason why the club want him.
