It is no secret that Manchester United wanted to sign Jadon Sancho in the previous summer transfer window. But eventually they were not able to agree a transfer fee with Borussia Dortmund, who were looking for around €120 million to let the Englishman leave.

On the other hand, the Red Devils were willing to offer €100 million. And ultimately, the move fell through although it was believed that Sancho himself was open to a switch to Old Trafford.

Since then, things appear to have changed drastically. United have enjoyed a great season till now and are competing for three trophies at the moment, including the Premier League. On the contrary, Sancho did not enjoy a brilliant start to his season but has found his form lately.

Borussia Dortmund are going through a tough period as well due to the financial impact of the global pandemic and might need to let a few of their top players leave in order to balance the books. The Red Devils do not appear to have an immediate need for Sancho anymore though after the promise that Amad has shown.

Manchester United are willing to pay £50 million for Sancho

As reported by the Express, while the Red Devils might still be open to sign Sancho, they are now willing to pay a transfer fee around £50 million for his services. But it is unlikely that the Bundesliga side will let the Englishman leave for that after holding out for €120 million just a few months ago.

And to be honest, Sancho will not have a lack of suitors if or when he does decide to leave Dortmund. Despite his slow start to the season, he has 11 goals and 16 assists in 30 appearances, which are extraordinary numbers.

According to recent rumours, Chelsea are interested in signing both Sancho and Haaland next summer, as the duo have struck a brilliant partnership in Germany. And coincidentally, both of them have been linked with Manchester United in the recent past as well.
