Every season, Manchester United sign multiple youngsters in hopes that they can develop in the club’s academy before going on to become top quality Premier League stars. Naturally, most of them fail to achieve that goal. But then there are a certain few who do and go on to become regulars for the Red Devils’ senior-team.

Amad Diallo, who wants to be known as just Amad going forward, seems to be one of those special players who has the capability of doing that.

United signed him from Atalanta in a deal believed to worth up to £36 million with add-ons. And it is not hard to see why they decided to show that kind of faith in the youngster after the performances he has already put in for the youth sides.

Tonight, he made his debut for the senior team in a substitute appearance against Real Sociedad. And although, he failed to either score or assist, the future looks very bright for Amad.

Scholes believes the Manchester United youngster is a real talent

After the Europa League game against Real Sociedad, as reported by the Express, Scholes said of Amad:

"“He looks a talented player. I watched the U23s last week. He scored a goal and made a couple of goals.“He’s got real talent, a nice left foot. Is he quick? I’m not too sure I haven’t seen that yet.“Creative player, very young at 18. Give him time and hopefully he can do.”"

Manchester United fans will be hoping that Scholes is correct on this one. Right-wing is a position that the club need some depth and quality in, and if he does manage to show his qualities from the very beginning, then it would not be a surprise if Solskjaer starts to give him decent playing time already.

In terms of raw talent, Amad does not lack anything. But at this level, that is very often the case. The important thing now would be for him to put it all together and hopefully become a top quality professional football, who can contribute to the Red Devils for years to come. If that does happen, his transfer fee will look like a bargain.
