Although Paul Pogba looks set to leave Manchester United at the end of the season with just a little over a year left on his current deal, it is undeniable that he is still one of the most vital parts of the Red Devils’ team.

That is the reason why we have seen the side clearly feel his absence ever since he went off injured in the game against Everton. And it looks like that is set to continue for quite some time now.

It looks like the Manchester United star will be out of action for the entire month of February at least, which is huge blow considering they have crunch ties coming up, against not only Real Sociedad in the Europa League but also Chelsea in the Premier League, with a very important game coming up against Manchester City as well in early March.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confirmed the news speaking ahead of the game against Real Sociedad. As reported by ESPN, he said:

"“He’s starting the treatment but it will still be a few weeks. He won’t be playing in February, that’s for sure, it’s still a few weeks before we see Paul definitely.”"

Pogba’s injury leaves a huge gap in Manchester United’s midfield

Pogba getting injured has taken away a lot of the X-factor that was present in the Red Devils’ midfield. While Bruno Fernandes might be the main man at Old Trafford these days, he does not possess the ability to sit back and dictate things like the French World Cup winner can.

Another big worry is that Pogba might end up losing the momentum that he had built up over the last few months. He was playing some of the best football of his career prior to his injury, and we can only hope that when he does return to action, he can pick up right where he left.

While his 4 goals and 3 assists through the course of the season might not look incredible on paper, he was one of the biggest reasons behind United reaching the top of the Premier League table. And if they are to get back there, Pogba needs to be back and at the top of his game.
