Manchester United have been on a bad run of form over the past few weeks after what was a brilliant title charge that saw them go top of the Premier League after a long time. At the moment though, it is Manchester City who are in control with a 7 point lead and a game in hand.

To be very honest, the Red Devils will be disappointed with their results in 2021, especially against the bottom sides. They lost 2-1 against Sheffield United, who had only won a single game in the Premier League at that point of time. And then, they shared the points with West Bromwich Albion in a 1-1 draw.

That means that they have dropped 5 of the last 6 points against the bottom two sides. And unfortunately for them, things do not seem to be getting easier from here on.

They have a couple of Europa League ties coming up against Real Sociedad, which will be followed by Premier League ties against Chelsea and Manchester City. And on those occasions, they could be without Paul Pogba.

Pogba could miss two important Manchester United games

The French World Cup winner got injured in their 3-3 draw against Everton and has been missing since then. The original diagnosis was that he was gonna be out for a few weeks. But as reported by The Athletic (via United in Focus), he could be out for a month, meaning there is a chance he will be missing the crunch ties with Chelsea and Manchester City.

Now, while that certainly makes things tougher for the Red Devils, it does not mean that it is a lost cause. Not by any stretch of the imagination. In fact, they have worked better while playing as underdogs and things only started to go awry after reaching the top of the table.

Thus, this might provide them the opportunity for them to play freely without any pressure and hopefully spring a couple of surprises.
