Manchester United and Liverpool both want Goncalves
Goncalves has a €60 million release clause in his contract and it is unlikely that Sporting Lisbon will allow him to leave for less than that. Over the past few weeks, it has been reported the the Red Devils made contact about the availability of the winger and now as reported by Daily Mail, Liverpool appear to have done the same. As a result, things could get interesting in the summer.
It is not unknown that Manchester United need a new right-winger. While Liverpool have also struggled up front this season and are looking to bring fresh faces to Anfield. Thus, it should not be surprising if there is a tug-of-war between the two sides for Goncalves.
His form till the end of the season will play a big part in any future move though. If he can continue delivering, both sides could be open to activating his release clause. If he fades away, then a move might very well be off the table.
