Manchester United are once again interested in signing Jadon Sancho, who was their top priority in the previous summer transfer window. They failed to meet the €120 million transfer fee demand of Borussia Dortmund though and as a result, he remained at the Bundesliga club.

Following that, his performances took a dip, which might have been a result of him not getting the Old Trafford switch. This created a lot of speculation among United fans about the club dodging a bullet by refusing to meet Dortmund’s sky-high asking price.

Recently though, it seems like Sancho is beginning to find his form once again and this is definitely a relief for Dortmund. As reported by the Express, the German side is relying on the Englishman’s transfer fee to recover from the financial loss suffered during the pandemic.

With United now looking like  contenders as well, the signing of Sancho makes a lot of sense as it could help them get closer to the title. It will be easier to get the deal over the line as well if the reports are indeed accurate regarding the Bundesliga giants relying on the departure of the winger to balance the books.

Manchester United could get Sancho on a bargain

It is of no surprise that the pandemic situation has created a financial crisis for every club out there with Borussia Dortmund being no exception it. That is just the sad reality of the situation the world is in at the moment.

United will have an advantage in the chase for Sancho as a result of it though. It is very unlikely that they will be ready to meet the €120 million asking price this time around, especially after the up-and-down season that the Englishman has endured.

Yet the Red Devils appear to be interested in acquiring the services of the youngster and in that case, their is a deal to be done. It is will interesting to see at what price though. Do not be surprised if Sancho ends up making the switch to Old Trafford for a transfer fee lower than the €100 million the club were apparently willing to fork out in the summer.
