How Bruno Fernandes has transformed Manchester United
By Mark Shannon
It has been one year since Bruno Fernandes joined Manchester United and he has absolutely turned Manchester United’s fortunes around in that period of time.
There hasn’t been this much optimism among the fans ever since Sir Alex Ferguson left back in 2013. The negative atmosphere surrounding the club is now gone and their big signing from last January has been the main catalyst for this change.
The culture around the club has changed on and off the pitch. Since Fernandes has come to Old Trafford they have only gone 34-10-10 in that time, talk about making an impact.
He was one of the missing pieces to the puzzle at Old Trafford for many years. He’s got the tools to become one of the best midfielders in the world. Not only has Fernandes come in and delivered the goods, the other players on the team have been lifted by his presence. With United finally fighting for the top spot of the Premier League after toiling near the middle of the pack year after year, the only person who can be thanked is Fernandes.

Bruno Fernandes has transformed Manchester United
Fernandes wants the ball and will do whatever it takes to get the ball. He wants to push the pace and get the ball on the attack as fast as he can. It doesn’t matter what kind of predicament he gets himself in, because he can always get himself out. He may make some risky passes or risky plays, but those risks have made Manchester United a much more dangerous team.
While the impact of Fernandes has been felt on the field, it’s his personality off it that has helped boost the play of his other teammates. Players like Fred, Scott McTominay and Paul Pogba have all seen their games lifted since the arrival of Fernandes.
While the players and the team love him, the fans love him just as much, if not more. While there have been no fans in the stadium for a while, Fernandes’ name is still the one on their lips every matchday.
Life under Fernandes has been fantastic, and United will be hoping for more good performances if they are to keep up their title hopes this season and beyond.
