One of the biggest issues with this current Manchester United team has been their inability get a win against the traditional ‘Big Six’ this season. It is safe to say that this is a brilliant opportunity for them to get rid of that duck.

Liverpool have been in terrible form recently and are without a win in their last five Premier League games, losing two and drawing three. Their only victory of this year came against a second string Aston Villa.

Manchester United on the other hand will be riding high on confidence. They have not lost a game in the Premier League since that early November defeat at the hands of Arsenal.

So while they cannot afford to go into this game thinking that Jurgen Klopp’s side will be walkovers, it is clear that the Red Devils are the favourites on current form. Of course, many will claim that form goes out of the window in these games.

Manchester United Predicted XI

Here’s how we think Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will line Manchester United up when they take on Liverpool in the fourth round of the FA Cup:

Dean Henderson

David de Gea’s form has meant that Henderson has had to do with warming the bench for most of the season. But he should be the man between the sticks in a fourth round FA Cup tie.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka – Victor Lindelof – Harry Maguire – Luke Shaw

The early season defensive horror shows seem like a thing of the past as the backline has grown in leaps and bounds since then. Lindelof did not feature against Fulham in mid-week but he has been declared fit to play against Liverpool.

Fred – Scott McTominay – Paul Pogba- Bruno Fernandes

No surprises here. The duo of Fred and McTominay has done brilliantly this season and should get the nod for the big game. On the other hand, Fernandes and Pogba are in the form of their lives at the moment. So it would be wise to not tweak with the midfield.

Edinson Cavani – Marcus Rashford

Up top, the lack of goals from Anthony Martial has been a worry for Solskjaer. But Cavani has done well whenever given the chance. And Rashford should be starting alongside him.
