Manchester United have made a dream start to this season and currently sit at the top of the Premier League table. And at this point of time, everything seems to be going their way as they prepare to finally make a title charge again after spending years on the periphery of English football since the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson.
They will know that they cannot rest on their laurels though and need to keep improving the squad. One huge issue is that Paul Pogba, who is in spectacular form right now, is expected to leave the club in the summer.
In that case, the Red Devils must bring in a replacement for the midfield maestro. And they might just replace him with another Frenchman in the form of Bayern Munich’s Corentin Tolisso.
The Bavarian giants have found themselves in a sticky situation recently after David Alaba agreed to join Real Madrid, meaning he will leave the club for free at the end of the season. Obviously, they will be keen to avoid such a situation in the future. And as reported by TEAMtalk, they appear to be open to bids for Tolisso in the summer as his contract runs out in 2022.

Tolisso could be a big hit for Manchester United
Tolisso is not a prolific scorer by any stretch of the imagination. In 90 appearances for Bayern Munich, he has scored 17 goals, which is not bad for a central midfielder. The story is a bit different though when he starts as an attacking midfielder.
He has played in that position four times this season and managed to find the back of the net twice. And while he is not a like for like replacement for Pogba, he could be quite the player for the Red Devils.
He joined Bayern Munich back in 2017 for €41.5 million but with his contract running out, clubs could probably land him for cheaper than that. And that is why United must make a swoop for him as it is not every day that a Champions League winner is available for a bargain.
