This is how Manchester United should line up against Liverpool as they aim to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League table.

With both teams around the top of the Premier League table, tomorrow’s game between Manchester United and Liverpool could have huge title implications come May. Thus, neither side will want to drop points.

Of course, that can often lead to cagey affairs, which will probably suit the Red Devils better. But then, it gives the chance to the chasing pack to catch up.

To be very honest, Liverpool might be there for the taking. Jurgen Klopp’s side have suffered numerous injuries this season which has left them severely weakened. They are winless in their last three league games and if United cannot them tomorrow, it will be psychological blow for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side, who have struggled against the big teams.

Here’s how we think the Norwegian should line up his side at Anfield:

David de Gea

The Spaniard remains the number one between the sticks for the Red Devils and appears to have left his bad form behind.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Eric Bailly, Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw

Bailly has done spectacularly since coming back into the team and should start alongside Maguire. The full-backs are pretty much settled at the moment with Wan-Bissaka and Shaw being the undisputed starters.

Fred, Scott McTominay, Bruno Fernandes, Paul Pogba

Fred and McTominay have done very well this season when paired up except for the odd occasion. And on current form, there is no question about dropping either Fernandes or Pogba in a match of this magnitude.

Marcus Rashford, Edinson Cavani

With Anthony Martial struggling with an injury going into the game, it might not be the best idea in the world to give him a start. Instead the duo of Cavani and Rashford up top could wreck havoc on a heavily weakened Liverpool backline.
