The Manchester United player is reportedly looking to get his contract terminated after failing to break into Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s first team plans.
Manchester United fans around the world must be delighted with the position that the club find themselves in at the moment. After years, there is a belief around Old Trafford that the Premier League is an achievable target. Is it a bit too early for that? We will know come May.
It goes without saying though that not every player in the squad is happy with their individual placements in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s pecking order. One of those players is Marcos Rojo.
The Argentine veteran joined the Red Devils for £16 million back in 2014 after an excellent World Cup campaign. That was during the tenure of Louis van Gaal as manager. He has found it difficult to retain a place in the first-team ever since the Dutch manager left though.

And if reports are accurate then he could be looking to leave the club even earlier than the expiration of his contract. According to Argentine journalist Nahuel Ferreira, Rojo is looking to get his contract terminated with Boca Juniors interested in acquiring his signature.
His contract is going to run out at the end of this season and there appears to be no chance of him extending his stay with the Red Devils. And you would think that it is a good deal for the club as well if his contract is terminated. There is very little chance of them managing to get a transfer fee for him and it would make a lot of sense unless a big compensation fee is involved.
You would have to think that despite his struggles getting into the Manchester United first-team, Rojo will be a wanted man. He had an extensive career with the national team and in Europe, and that means that he could be seen as a marquee signing back in his native Argentina.
