Manchester United have reportedly cooled their interest in a move for Jadon Sancho and now have new top transfer target.
It is no secret that Manchester United wanted to sign Jadon Sancho in the past summer transfer window.
The Red Devils were not willing to meet Borussia Dortmund’s massive €120 million asking price and wanted to get a deal done for around €100 million. The Bundesliga refused to budge though and a deal could not be reached.
It was a long drawn transfer saga and the club’s supporters would have been bitterly disappointed when a move ultimately fell through. Those feelings seem to have changed now though. United are flying high right now and are at the top of Premier League table after a long time.
On the other hand, Sancho has suffered a terrible start to his campaign. He has scored just one league goal this season although it might very well be a result of his Old Trafford switch falling through.

According to the Mirror, the United hierarchy think that they dodged a bullet by not giving into Dortmund’s demands and might not even go back for Sancho in the future. Instead, it his teammate Erling Haaland that they want now.
The Norwegian has been an absolute sensation over the past two seasons. Still just 20 years of age, he already has 16 Champions League goals and from just 12 appearances! Incredible stats for any player, let alone someone so young.
And if looks like Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen to reunite with his former protégé, whom he managed at Molde. It is safe to say that both of them have come a long way since then.
Any move for Haaland could be completed though considering the fact that his agent is Mino Raiola, who does not enjoy a great relationship with Manchester United. And with the likes of Chelsea and Manchester City also in the running, it is expected to be a tough battle.
