Fabrizio Romano confirms Manchester United transfer interest
Fabrizio Romano has confirmed transfer rumours suggesting that Manchester United are interested in signing the Championship star.
The general consensus is that Manchester United will have a quiet January transfer window. But with the Red Devils unexpectedly embroiled in a title race, things could certainly change now.
There is no doubt that there are certain areas in the squad that could be improved upon. One of them is right-back. While Aaron Wan-Bissaka has been a huge hit since joining the club from Crystal Palace for £50 million, there is not much in the name of back-up at this point of time.
Diogo Dalot was allowed to leave on a season-long loan to AC Milan. And Brandon Williams does not appear to be in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s plans right now. As a result, he could be set for a loan move away from Old Trafford as well.
This has led to rumours linking the Red Devils with a move for Norwich City’s Max Aarons and transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that the interest is genuine:

Max Aarons has been a standout in the Championship this season as Norwich City sit at the top of the table, hoping to make a return to the Premier League. The 20-year-old has been one of the most highly-rated young English full-backs for quite some time now and it makes sense why United want him.
We have seen the effect that the arrival of Alex Telles has had on Luke Shaw. The Englishman is in the form of his life right now. And they’d be hoping that the arrival of Aarons could do the same for Wan-Bissaka.
While there is no question that the former Crystal Palace man is a great defender, the same cannot be said about his abilities on the other end of the pitch though. At just 23 years of age, time is on his side though and he will hopefully develop that side of his game as well. And some healthy competition for his spot in the team can only help him achieve that goal faster.
