Manchester United are reportedly in pole position to seal a £5 million transfer for the teen wonderkid who has admitted he dreams of playing for the Red Devils.
In recent years, Manchester United have made it a habit to sign some of the most highly-rated talents from all around the world. And their search has taken them to Ecuador this time around.
Moises Caicedo might be only 19 years of age but the Independiente del Valle midfielder has already made quite the splash. He has already represented the Ecuador national team and started their last four World Cup qualifiers.
He also became the first player born in the 21st century to score in the CONMEBOL World Cup qualifiers when he found the back of the net against Uruguay. So he might be young, but he could already be a part of Solskjaer’s first-team plans if the Red Devils complete the move.

Highly-respected journalist Fabrizio Romano broke the news on Twitter earlier. And although a deal is yet to be completed, do not be surprised if it the teenager puts pen to paper in the very near future.

As reported by The Sun, Caicedo has already publicly admitted that Manchester United are his favourite club and that will surely be a huge factor in the move.
The Red Devils do have some competition though in the form of West Ham United. But considering the current financial situation and United’s pulling power, that should not be a huge obstacle for Solskjaer’s side to overcome.
This is in line with the club’s recent transfer policy which saw them sign Facundo Pellistri and Amad Diallo on deadline day of the summer transfer window. Before that, they have also brought in impressive youngsters like Marc Jurado from Barcelona, Alvaro Fernandez from Real Madrid, Alejandro Garnacho from Atletico Madrid, Willy Kambwala from Sochaux and Isak Hansen-Aaroen from Tromso to Old Trafford.
