Manchester United have been handed a major injury boost ahead of their game against West Bromwich with the winger set to return.
Following a couple of disappointing results and some wretched individual performances, Manchester United needed a victory against Everton at Goodison Park. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer demanded a response from his players when they faced Carlo Ancelotti’s side in the wake of an unexpected 2-1 defeat to Turkish side Istanbul Basaksehir in the UEFA Champions League.
Despite conceding first in the game, the Red Devils came back roaring. BrunoFernandes’ brilliant brace followed by a late strike from Edinson Cavani secured a 3-1 win in their favour.
Marcus Rashford played ninety minutes of football that day, having provided one assist in the process. He could have bagged one himself had he got the slightest touch on the ball from Bruno Fernandes’ awe-inspiring delivery in the 32nd minute of the game.
Although the outcome of the game brought a much-needed grin back on the faces of the Solskjaer and the United devotees, the morale of the whole fanbase took a hit when it was confirmed that Marcus Rashford had sustained a shoulder injury.

Rashford, once chalked in to represent England in the ongoing international break, was sent back home before the Three Lions’ game against the Republic of Ireland. Back then, it seemed to be a major upset for the Red Devils.
However, according to the Manchester United correspondent for The Athletic, Laurie Whitwell (via Utdreport), Marcus Rashford is in contention to make his return from his injury issue in their next Premier League fixture against West Bromwich Albion this Saturday.
With just ten points from seven games, United sit at 14th on the table. West Bromwich Albion, on the other hand, are 18th with three points, having played one game more. On paper, United are the better side and firm favourites to take all the three points from the fixture.
Yet, no one should ever dare considering this Red Devils side a winner before the start of a game as their unpredictability has already reared its head multiple times this season. Let’s just hope that it does not do this Saturday.
