The Manchester United superstar believes that the Red Devils can end their title drought this season despite the terrible start.
Manchester United have been without a league title since 2012-13 when the club was managed by the great Sir Alex Ferguson, under whom the Red Devils were feared as one of the greatest teams in the world. Unfortunately, after his retirement, they have failed to maintain those standards and have failed to even really challenge for the Premier League.
After Jose Mourinho was shown the exit door, the fans were shown a ray of hope when Ole Gunner Solskjaer took the control of the wheel and the club managed to finish third last season, certainly a step in the right direction.
But surprisingly enough, United have endured one of the worst possible starts to their league season this time around. Fans around the world were expecting that they would be challenging for the title after what was a brilliant finish to last season but things suddenly took a turn for the worse. At the time of writing, the club sit at 13th in the league table.

Bruno Fernandes, who has at times been single handedly pulling United out of difficult situations, has claimed that they currently have the correct mindset and the league trophy is that they could realistically achieve. As reported by TEAMTalk, Fernandes said:
"“For me, it doesn’t matter about the other teams. People may say they’re better than us, they have a better first eleven than us, guys who come from the bench are better.“People can say what they think, I don’t care. For a club like United, it’s a long time since we won the Premier League. It’s too long, I think.“So you have to have in your mind — all the players, all the staff — we’re here to win. And I think we have that mentality.“I came to Manchester to win trophies. You’re playing for one of the biggest clubs in the world. This club has made history in the past, an amazing history.”"
The Portuguese has been in the form of his career in the last few games. Against Everton last Saturday, he scored 2 goals and also provided an assist to Edinson Cavani. When asked the reason for not going for a hat-trick, Fernandes spoke like a true leader, saying that for any striker a goal provides a huge confidence boost and he just wanted his teammate to secure his first goal for the club.
That is the type of attitude that you would want your players to have. With such a positive mentality, Fernandes could potentially have a proper overview of the conditions at the club and let’s just hope that those around him can raise their game as well.
