Ian Wright wants Tuanzebe to replace Manchester United star
By Akash Dutta
Ian Wright believes that Axel Tuanzebe should replace the Manchester United star in their starting XI.
Manchester United were defeated 1-0 on Sunday night when Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored a penalty in the second half of the game to hand the Gunners their first away win against one of the ‘Big Six’ clubs since 2015. On the other hand it was United’s third defeat this season which has dragged them down to the 15th position in the Premier League table.
United again fell victim to their defensive liabilities but it was Arsenal who failed to capitalize on those opportunities even though they were able to create a lot of chances through the course of the 90 minutes. But it was the mistake caused by Paul Pogba when he fouled the Hector Bellerin in the box and gave the Arsenal a penalty which turned out to be the decider on Sunday night.
Ian Wright has claimed that United have an excellent centre-back on their hands in the form of Axel Tuanzebe, who was also the key player against Paris Saint-Germain and was even given the Man of the Match award for his performance.
The Arsenal legend has praised the 22-year-old centre-back claiming that, when United have the ability to stop players like Neymar and Mbappe, Solskjaer should be more focused on using the right players instead of playing Lindelof. With Tuanzebe and Wan-Bissaka on the pitch, the manager can focus on bringing in more offensive players like Donny van de Beek, changing the formation to a three man defence if the situation calls for it.

According to the Metro, Ian Wright has said:
"“The way he played I think he deserves a spot in the team. Maguire’s performances have kicked in but you have to look at Lindelof and say: if you have someone like Tuanzebe that can play like that and the way he dealt with the pace of those guys it means you don’t have to have two guys protecting the back two.“You can maybe put Tuanzebe in and then Donny van de beek or more offensive players in there. It’s very negative.“Coming back from the Tottenham defeat I understand but then you beat Leipzig, you should be blasting into this game with confidence. For me it comes back to the manager. I think the manager now and the way Manchester United play and still play like that today I don’t think the manager can motivate that team to play consistently.”"
Now it is upto the sole decision of the manager whether he wants to go with his same old formation or change up his tactics bringing in more attack-minded players on the pitch, leaving the defensive duties to the likes of Wan-Bissaka and Tuanzebe along side skipper Harry Maguire. May be we can see them in action again in the upcoming Champions League match.
