Here’s how we think Manchester United will line up when they face off against Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal on Sunday in the Premier League.

It seems that Manchester United and Arsenal have swapped their seasons over the past few weeks. There is a stark contrast between how both started and how they are playing right now.

There was a genuine excitement around the Gunners side led by Mikel Arteta after he had led them to an impressive finish after taking over from Unai Emery in the second half of last season. But after a solid start, they have faded away a bit and are coming off back-to-back defeats at the hands of Manchester City and Leicester City in the Premier League.

On the other hand, Solskjaer’s United side looks like a team transformed after their stumbling start, losing to both Crystal Palace and Tottenham Hotspur, and struggling against Brighton and Hove Albion over their first three Premier League games.

Solskjaer will know the importance of keeping the momentum going. His own side have shown how quickly things can turn around in football. As a result, he is expected to put out as strong a team as possible on Sunday although the likes of Alex Telles and Anthony Martial will be absent.

Here’s how we think the Red Devils will line up:

David de Gea

Aaron Wan-Bissaka

Victor Lindelof

Harry Maguire

Luke Shaw

Fred

Scott McTominay

Paul Pogba

Bruno Fernandes

Mason Greenwood

Marcus Rashford

In the absence of Martial, this formation seems to work best for the side. And it might be time to bring Pogba back into the mix of things. Greenwood also had a good game against RB Leipzig and should retain his place in the team.

Of course, that would mean that new signings Donny van de Beek and Edinson Cavani are left one the bench once again.
