Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe has sent a strong message after their defeat at the hands of Manchester United in the Champions League.
Manchester United caused a massive upset in the Champions League when they managed to beat last year’s finalists Paris Saint-Germain in their own backyard. What is more impressive is the fact that relatively inexperienced defenders like Axel Tuanzebe and Aaron Wan-Bissaka were able to keep superstars like Neymar and Kylian Mbappe quiet.
Bruno Fernandes put the Red Devils ahead like he has done so many times since joining the club from the penalty spot. That goal was cancelled out though when Anthony Martial ended up scoring an own goal. But just when it looked like the two sides would have to share the spoils, Marcus Rashford came up clutch to seal the win.
Expectedly, the Parisians were not amused. And Mbappe has warned the rest of the teams in their group that they know how to respond. As reported by the Mirror, the French World Cup winner said:
"“It’s not the first time that we’ve lost the first match of the group stage. We know how to react.“The matches succeed each other quickly and we’ll try to win in Istanbul in order to honour the shirt and the club.“All matches are important, but when you play every two or three days, it remains difficult, even if you are the biggest competitor.”"

Paris Saint-Germain certainly do have a wealth of talent in their squad. And as they showed last year, they can make a long run in this competition as well. This time around they will be hoping to go one step further than they did last time around though and win it all.
And when you have players like Mbappe, Neymar, Icardi and Di Maria in your line up, it is hard to argue against you. Thus, you cannot write them off at any point of time. And do not be surprised if they end up topping the group despite their defeat in the opening match.
One thing is for sure though, Solskjaer’s side are also capable of beating any side in the world on their day. They just showed that against the French champions a week back. And hopefully they will do that one more time when Mbappe & company come visiting Old Trafford for the reverse fixture.
