The Chelsea star has been tipped to be a nightmare for Manchester United captain Harry Maguire at Old Trafford on Saturday.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United side are riding high at the moment. After a stumbling start to their Premier League season after losing to Crystal Palace and Tottenham Hotspur in embarrassing fashion at Old Trafford, the Red Devils managed to steady the ship with a 4-1 away win against Newcastle United.

Then they managed to cause an incredible upset in the Champions League by beating Paris Saint-Germain 2-1 in their own backyard. The French champions were last season’s finalists and heavy favourites heading into the game. Goals from Bruno Fernandes and Harry Maguire were enough to hand Red Devils the win on the night.

The club will very well know though that any negative result could undo all the momentum that they have built up. And as a result, a win against Chelsea is very important for Solskjaer’s side.

The Blues have invested heavily in this summer transfer window and have some serious attacking talent in their squad. And Glen Johnson believes that Timo Werner would be a nightmare match up for Harry Maguire, if the Manchester United captain stars.

As reported by Daily Mail, the pundit said:

"“If I’m Timo Werner, I’d be like, “Please play [Maguire]!”, I really would.“I think he would be an absolute nightmare for him.“But I agree, in the bigger picture, it’s hard to leave your captain out and obviously he’s a big player for them.”"

Maguire was absent from the win in Paris but could return to the line up this evening. He has not been in good form and if he does indeed start, then the fans will rightfully be worried about him making a mistake at the back.

Werner on the other hand is coming off the back of a brace against Southampton in their 3-3 draw last week. And while we all know Chelsea can possess a problem for anyone going forward, they do clearly have their own issues at the back.

Now, it will be the duty of the Manchester United forward’s to exploit those issues at the back while also handling their forwards. It is not something that cannot be done as we have already seen them being held goalless by Liverpool and Sevilla this season. And the Red Devils just managed to keep the likes of Neymar and Mbappe quiet.
