Manchester United suffer injury blow as star out for a month
Manchester United have been handed a major injury blow as one of their players looks set to miss a month out of action due to injury.
Manchester United are on a high at the moment. After their 4-1 win away against Newcastle United brought their Premier League season back on track. And then a 2-1 win away against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League must have been a huge boost for both the players and the fans.
Suddenly, there’s a good feeling around Old Trafford once again. And hopefully, the club can build on these past two results to string together a series of wins.
The club have had their issues with injuries though recently. Both Harry Maguire and Mason Greenwood were left out of the game against PSG. Another man who did not make the trip either was Eric Bailly and it looks like he is going to spend some significant time on the sidelines.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confirmed the news as reported by Metro:
"“Eric has a muscle injury, we think maybe three or four weeks, maybe after the international break he’ll be back.”"

It is not going to get any easier though over the next few weeks as they have to take on the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal, Everton and RB Leipzig. And while the Red Devils will be confident going into these games, they’ll also know that a bad result could take away all the momentum that they have built up.
The return of Axel Tuanzebe after almost a year out is a timely boost. He was immense against Paris Saint-Germain despite being brought out of the cold due to the unavailability of other defensive players.
Let’s just hope that it was not a one-off and Tuanzebe continues to put in such performances. Because if he does then Manchester United might have found a long-term solution to their problems at the back. And they won’t even have to break the bank for it.
