Roy Keane makes bold prediction about Solskjaer’s future
Roy Keane has taken a dig at the Manchester United players while also making a bold prediction about Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s future at the club.
As soon as the game ended, Manchester United No.1 David de Gea chose not to follow the conventional procedure of shaking hands with the players of the counter but to spend some time lying on the ground in utter bemusement.
He had just seen the bodies in white putting six goals past him; it was a heart-breaking afternoon at the ‘Theater of Dreams’ for the Manchester United supporters. Mourinho’s team absolutely thrashed Solskjaer’s men 6-1 in their own backyard.
A number of former United players reacted angrily to United’s destruction at the hands of Spurs. While Gary Neville called the performance of the United players out as ‘absolutely pathetic‘, a forever vocal individual in Patrice Evra, with a face full of agony, requested Sky Sports to cancel his contract as a pundit.
The only man who had not reacted until last night was Manchester United’s former captain Roy Keane. While on duty as a pundit ahead of the friendly game between England and Wales, the veteran was asked about United’s performance over the weekend.
It looked as if Keane was waiting for the question to appear in front of him. Without wasting any time, he commenced his rant like a hungry hunter running toward its prey.
As reported by the Manchester Evening News, he said:

"“I’ve been saying it for the last 12 months, year and a half… their performance against Spurs was disgraceful.“You all have bad days in football. Some of the players were a disgrace to the Man United badge.“Disgraceful. Too many bluffers and, ultimately, these players will cost Ole his job. The players he has got there – they threw the previous manager [Jose Mourinho] under the bus [and] they will do the same to Ole.”"
Not only did he mark the performance as ‘disgraceful’, but also he predicted that the players would the reason for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to get the sack.
Following the international break, Manchester United will be facing a congested run and arguably an exasperating run of fixtures, where they will face the opponents like PSG, Chelsea, RB Leipzig, and Arsenal in quick succession throughout the month of October.
This hectic run of games is thought to be the real make or break for Manchester United’s 2020-21 campaign. Let’s hope they can handle the pressure.
