Manchester United are looking at a major deal.
The summer is the time when agents thrive. The life of a super-agent is always busy, but they really come into their zone during the transfer window. Their phones ping and they are perpetually on the move. Even at a time when much of the world is frozen in isolation, agents cannot afford to stop. Jorge Mendes is one of the best in the game. The Portuguese man is the agent of former Manchester United star, Cristiano Ronaldo and it seems like Mendes could be keen on bringing another fledgling star to Old Trafford.
According to Spanish publication AS via the Daily Express Jorge Mendes is in ‘first touch base’ with Barcelona over brokering a deal with Man United over the transfer of Ansu Fati.

The 17 year old Barcelona wonderkid has been rumoured to be on the radar of the Red Devils and with Jorge Mendes seemingly keen on the move this might just happen even if it currently seems highly unlikely.

United are clearly exploring alternative options to Jadon Sancho having been prized out of their valuation by Borussia Dortmund and Ansu Fati could be an ideal candidate.
The Spanish U21 international is regarded as one of the most exciting teenage prospects in the world. He has already been compared to Lionel Messi and the comparisons might not be far fetched.
Ansu Fati plays with a level of maturity that is beyond his years. The speedy diminutive winger can navigate through thickets of defenders and he has an astute eye for the goal. Ansu Fati has already scored plenty of goals from outside the box with his lethal right foot in his fledgling Barcelona career.
The prospect of Ansu Fati linking up with the likes of Martial, Rashford and Greenwood is an enticing one too. The Barcelona star looks like he could form a formidable quartet with United’s current trio. Ansu Fati is perfectly suited to the Red Devils swift counter attacking play.
Of course the question lies about the valuation, Barcelona are bound to demand a steep fee for their prized academy set and it will be up to United whether they would be willing to match the Catalans’ asking price or attempt to shear some of it off.
Would you be happy with the arrival of Ansu Fati over Jadon Sancho?
