Manchester United are close to attaining their long-term target.
After numerous rounds of stories and speculations, now, all the developments and reports suggest towards the conclusion of the perennial saga- Jadon Sancho to Manchester United seems nothing but done.
Ed Woodward and Matt Judge, Man United’s transfer delegates, have had held a series of advanced dialogues with their counterparts from Borussia Dortmund. Yet, no official agreement has been reached, but, both ends are very close to reaching an amortised figure.
Der BVB has set an August 10 deadline to finalise this transfer so that the German outfit has optimum time to reinforce their squad. Dortmund have identified Lille’s Jonathan Ikone as a potential replacement for Jadon Sancho.

Valued at €120million, Man United. previously, baulked at matching the price in a market affected due to the Covid-19 pandemic. But, the eagerness of both parties to materialise this deal has meant a verbal agreement has been reached where the transfer fees is structured around potential addons and a few instalments.
Meanwhile, Jadon Sancho has agreed personal terms with Man United, with the contract, running till June 2025, worth £250,000 a week, as per Fabrizio Romano. It has been learnt that Jadon Sancho put an informal request to seek a move away from Dortmund this summer.
The dialogues are ongoing between the clubs to make necessary tweaks to the tentative payment scheme offered from United representatives. Citing developments around this deal, an initial €100m– spread over three instalments of €70m, €30m, and €20m- with an addition €20m in performance-related add-ons is said to be the financial package to lure Sancho to Old Trafford.
United are yet to present an official bid to Die Borussen with the English club waiting to reach consensus over the fee structure before presenting their formal offer. To facilitate the negotiations, Ed Woodward and Matt Judge have used a local broker, as per SPORT1.
