Manchester United finally agree shock Jadon Sancho transfer fee
By Bence Bocsak
Manchester United could have pulled off a huge deal.
In January, negotiations had lagged. In the brisk Portuguese winter, Ed Woodward felt the heat. Despite the cold, perspiration drooped down from his forehead and he could feel his hands turning clammy. His future at Manchester United possibly hinged on the deal going through. He needed to get things right.
Memories of missed targets must have flickered through his mind. He stayed firm though. He might have had some doubts but he was staunch in his valuation.
In the end, it was the Red Devils’ chief who sighed a breath of relief when Bruno Fernandes signed on the dotted line.

The Portuguese’s transformative impact on the team has been well documented and it seems Ed Woodward could be about to repeat the same formula.
Links between Jadon Sancho and Man United have been perpetual ever since the winter window closed shut.
Negotiations have dragged on endlessly just like Woodward’s talks with Sporting over Fernandes. However the club chief has similarly remained adamant in his valuation and it seems that could have paid dividends.
According to a report by the Independent United have convinced Dortmund to agree to an initial £60 million package for Jadon Sancho which is a shock fee considering recent transfers over the last few summers and previously discussed figures for Sancho himself.
The fee could ultimately rise to £100m but that is still not a steep price for someone of Jadon Sancho’s talent.
Ousmane Dembele who was far less impactful at Dortmund went to Barcelona for around the same figure despite only scoring 6 goals in the Bundesliga for the black and yellows.
Jadon Sancho far exceeds Ousmane Dembele’s potential though. The English international has an astute footballing brain and he can spot a pass anywhere in the final third. His slaloming runs and wide array of tricks have been catching the eye for some time now.
The 20 year old winger is tipped to be on par with Kylian Mbappe and the prospect of Sancho lining up with Rashford, Greenwood, Martial, Pogba and Fernandes is an enticing one.
The plethora of attacking talent at United could be formidable next season.
If the Independent’s report is true, Ed Woodward could be slowly but surely overturning his reputation at Old Trafford. It seems with Solskjaer at the helm, the club finally have a cohesive vision for the future.
Would you be happy with the arrival of Jadon Sancho?
