Manchester United will look to beat Pep Guardiola.
The fall of Manchester United has miserably coincided with the rise of the club’s noisy neighbours, Manchester City. In the seven years, since the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson, United have been forced to watch their arch rivals lift the Premier League three times, while United haven’t even come close to grasping the coveted title.
It is a record which Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who has won the same number of Premier League titles as Manchester City in their entire history, will be desperate erase. the Norwegian is eager to bring the trophy back to Old Trafford.
Solskjaer represented the Red Devils as a player during the club’s most successful era. Now as a manager he has an entirely different task.

The Premier League has changed and evolved since Solskjaer’s time as a player. There is now no traditional top four. The rise of Man City has also heralded the emergence of Tottenham and Leicester City which has shaped the division into a top six or seven. Competition is even fiercer than before.
Perhaps it is why the Norwegian took a while to adjust to things at Old Trafford as a manager. However things are starting to click into gear for Solskjaer.
United are playing exquisite and silky smooth football. For the first time since Sir Alex Ferguson, the Red Devils are scoring goals for fun.
And things could get even better. According to the latest reports, United could be on the brink of beating Manchester City for a promising transfer target.
FootMercato via the Daily Express has claimed United have submitted a bid for Rayan Ait-Nouri. The report details how the club have been in regular contact with the player’s agent who is also wanted by Man City. On Tuesday, the player visited the training facilities at the club.
Rayan Ait-Nouri is a 19 year old left-back who is extremely highly rated in his home-nation. This season he made 17 appearances for Angers in Ligue 1 and provided 3 assists before the season was cut short.
A regular for the France U21 side, Rayan Ait-Nouri is a robust defender with a great burst of pace and he could be a great addition for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer side.
Beating City to his signature could be the icing on the cake.
Though with Luke Shaw and Brandon Williams both at the club, surely signing Rayan Ait-Nouri would be an indication of one of them departing for pastures new.
