Barcelona determined to sign Manchester United star in shock move
By Bence Bocsak
Barcelona look keen to sign this Manchester United flop.
At the beginning of the last decade, Barcelona and Manchester United enjoyed a hegemony in world football. Led by geniuses of the game and filled to the brim with elite players, the two sides dominated world football.
By the end of the decade their hegemony had faltered however. What seemed like an everlasting status faded into oblivion. Both United and Barca are no longer dominant in European competitions and have lingered in a limbo.
But of course that is not how it should be for two of the biggest sporting institutions in the world, and thus the Red Devils and Barcelona are looking to climb back to the pinnacle.

It is a lofty endeavour. Rebuilding a team from top to bottom is not an easy task. Quique Setien and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer have now experienced that first hand.
Football fans are an impatient bunch. They want success immediately. Waiting it out and seeing the bigger picture is a rare oddity amongst them and so the time is ticking for the two coaches.
The summer transfer window will be a crucial period for Barcelona and United. The Catalans will need to bring in some much needed reinforcements, meanwhile Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will need to snip away a lot of his deadwood in order to free up funds to sanction a hefty move for Jadon Sancho.
Fortunately, according to the latest reports, the two teams could be of help to one another.
ESPN via the Daily Express has claimed that Barcelona are looking to sign Diogo Dalot from the Red Devils this summer.
The Portuguese right back has made just four first team appearances this season and he is very much on the fringes at Old Trafford.
Solskjaer would surely welcome the move. With Diogo Dalot just 21 years of age, there is the potential that the Red Devils could earn a handsome figure by selling the right-back, especially if Barcelona are well and truly interested.
Diogo Dalot has been a disappointment since his arrival at the club two years ago. Having come from Porto for a hefty sum which caught some by surprise at the time, the right back has not done anything to justify his price tag.
Of course United will be hoping to recoup much of the £19 million they spent on him. Whether Barcelona would be willing to pay such a large figure for someone who is yet to prove his worth remains to be seen.
The Catalans have made some questionable transfers in recent years so it certainly wouldn’t be a surprise.
How much would you sell Diogo Dalot for?
