Manchester United could move to sign the ‘next Sadio Mane’
By Bence Bocsak
Manchester United could make an interesting transfer.
For over a decade there has been a gaping abyss perpetually growing at Manchester United. The hole is so wide, the void it has left behind looks impossible to fill. Cristiano Ronaldo‘s lingering shadow at Old Trafford has haunted the Red Devils for years.
In previous summers, there were always an innate and unbridled desire for United to bring home the Portuguese star. However, this summer, the talk has not been of Ronaldo at Old Trafford. Instead it has been about a player who many see as his second coming.
At 20 years of age, Jadon Sancho‘s statistics far exceed Cristiano Ronaldo’s at the same age. The English international has been the lynchpin of the current Borussia Dortmund star and it hasn’t just been his numbers that have been impressive, it is the performances too.

Jadon Sancho can dribble past players with ease, he has an uncanny eye for goal and the innate ability to find his teammates from the perfect angles.
Yet financial matters could put a major obstacle in United’s way in luring Sancho to Old Trafford. Amidst the current economic crisis, a hefty move for the English star might just be unfeasible.
And former Red Devils legend, Gary Neville, has identified an ideal alternative United could move for instead of Sancho.
Speaking on Sky Sports via the Daily Mail, Neville urged his former club to make a move for Ismaila Sarr.
Neville said the following:
"“Manchester United need a right winger. He’s a big, big talent, honestly he really is”"
The current Watford winger has enjoyed an impressive first season in the Premier League after catching the eye in France.
Ismaila Sarr is rapid with a tremendous burst of pace and he likes to play very direct on the flanks. In his homeland Sarr has been described as the ‘next Sadio Mane‘ due to the similarity between their playing style.
The 22 year old Senegalese international would be available on the cheap, especially if Watford are relegated from the Premier League.
With United needing a fast-paced winger, Ismaila Sarr could be the perfect option. He could thrive at Old Trafford and could bring the best out of the likes of Rashford, Greenwood and Martial.
The best teams have always had an impressive array of offensive choices, and Neville is right, Ismaila Sarr could be a great pick-up by Man United.
Would you be happy if Man United signed Ismaila Sarr?
