Huge shock as Pep Guardiola will attempt to sign Manchester United star
By Bence Bocsak
Man City want this Manchester United star in a shock move.
Ever since Manchester City emerged as a financial power, Manchester United have had to vest for transfers with their arch rivals. It has proved a nuisance and one which has seen the Red Devils plummet from the pinnacle of English football.
Yet every now and then, United have had a major transfer victory over City. From Robin Van Persie to Alexis Sanchez United managed to lure world-class players to Old Trafford despite heavy interest from Man City. The latter seemed like an especially momentous transfer and one which was regarded as a move that would shift the power dynamic in the city towards the red side.
Unfortunately, the Chilean’s venture at Old Trafford has become a calamitous failure, and the power shift shrivelled into nothing but an even bigger descent towards the abyss.

It is a descent which Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been able to thwart. However, Alexis Sanchez has played no part in it. Despite being considered a major coup at the time, the Chilean has been nothing short of disappointment and under the Norwegian he has been abandoned to the sidelines before being discarded on loan to Inter Milan.
Despite all of this, and Alexis Sanchez having turned over thirty, it seems Man City are not dissuaded by the evidence in front of their eyes and they have not given up on their pursuit of the Chilean.
According to Chilean newspaper La Cuerta via Sport Witness, Pep Guardiola is still interested in Alexis Sanchez and could make a move for the Man United star this summer.
The move would surely be a welcome one for Man United, the Red Devils need funds to reserve cash in order to sanction a move for Jadon Sancho and extracting that from City for an evident flop would be the icing on the cake.
Of course, there is the danger that Sanchez’s move to City could fireback however it is unlikely. The Chilean would surely be a squad player at the Etihad and if anything the blues would only want to sign him to gain a psychological advantage over the Red Devils.
Sanchez’s move is unlikely to significantly strengthen Man City and if there is a chance it could contribute to Jadon Sancho’s move the sacrifice would surely be worth it.
Would you sell Alexis Sanchez to Man City?
