#4 Phil Jones

Being one of the remaining servants of the club since the days of Sir Alex Ferguson, Phil Jones has failed to live up to the lofty promise which tempted the United hierarchy to lure him at Old Trafford.

Suffering from incessant injury problems, Jones never managed to string together a substantial streak of games in his legs. Adding to the misery, his erratic defending has reduced the England defender to a laughing stock on various instances.

The 28-year-old never had the approval of Stretford faithful and the centre-back even decided against having a testimonial match, considering his status among the fans. Once a promising career has taken a sad direction in the past few seasons.

Despite this, Jones has the ability to marshal defences, not just at Man United. A change of scenery could well prove to be fruitful with interest arriving from the foreign land of Italy due to recent success of former Red Ashley Young at Inter Milan, as per The Athletic.

#3 Alexis Sanchez

Sanchez has become the epitome of how aimless Man United’s transfer policy had been in recent times. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer made sure that recruitment of the club was based on a vision of youth which promises long-term dividends, rather than readymade superstars who could make a short-lived impact.

In Chilean’s case, neither was he successful nor did he acclimatise to mighty demands of the Old Trafford supporters. After a disastrous spell footballing wise, Sanchez sought a move away from Man United to resurrect his playing career, which nosedived since a move away from Arsenal.

At Inter Milan, despite an injury-ravaged start in Italy, Chile international has made himself an essential part of Antonio Conte’s attacking setup, forming a blooming relationship with fellow forwards.

Former United number seven is said to extend his Nerazzurri stay and the feelings remain on the same lines with the club’s hierarchy. A permanent transfer is win-win for all parties as Man United get a massive financial load off their accounts, and Inter gets a player fitting their manager’s vision.
