Manchester United refuse to allow squad player to depart in shock move
By Bence Bocsak
Manchester United have made a surprise call.
English summers are bleak, filled with cycles of rain that patter down on the ground in rapid bursts. The deluge is often relentless. Yet at Old Trafford, despite the rain, things are looking bright this summer. With a new star in Bruno Fernandes leading the charge, Manchester United are thriving. The Red Devils are playing some of the best football since the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson and the fans are rightly hoping this momentum can help them challenge for the Premier League title once more.
Despite the infectious positive mood at Old Trafford, one player who will be somewhat irked by the the emergence of Bruno Fernandes will be Andreas Pereira. The Brazilian international had enjoyed his most consistent run in the first team prior to the Portuguese’s arrival but has now seen his playing time significantly cut.
Andreas Pereira has made just two substitute appearances since the re-start and with the United midfielder about to enter the prime years of his career, it is unlikely that the Brazilian would want to spend that time sitting on the bench.

Yet despite his lack of playing time, it seems the Red Devils are reluctantly to let Andreas Pereira depart this summer.
According to Het Belag van Limburg via Sport Witness, that United have told Andreas Pereira an exit from the club this summer ‘is absolutely not an option.’
The decision is perplexing considering the Red Devils are well stocked in the midfield area. One can only assume it has financial ramifications. Andreas Pereira is a hot-property at United and the Red Devils will undoubtedly make less profit from his departure if the midfielder leaves this summer.
One will have to wonder whether Andreas Pereira staying at Old Trafford is also an implication about new arrivals at United this summer.
The Red Devils have been heavily linked with a move for Jack Grealish, however if they are keen for Andreas Pereira to stay at the club, that could be a hint that United will no longer move for the Aston Villa midfielder.
Andreas Pereira has been out of form over the last few months prior to the suspension of the football. He has shown glimpses of quality in a United shirt but consistency is a major issue with the Brazilian.
Keeping him at the club could be a huge gamble.
