Manchester United have reportedly bagged their first summer signing.
Spectating bitter rivals winning titles over the years have not been a joyous act for the Old Trafford faithful. While clubs like Chelsea, Manchester City, and Liverpool have had lifted the coveted Premier League title, the Red Devils have just witnessed them, standing at a worrying distance.
The pain of observing Liverpool lifting the title was so severe that they didn’t even congratulate them on winning the long-awaited trophy after 30 years, while other clubs did heap praise on their effort, showering plaudits on the social media platform.
Manchester United fans felt heartbroken at their fierce rivals’ success, so seemingly was Manchester United camp and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Considering the mediocrity that the club have had endured since the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson, it has now become a must-win mission for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to help the club reach the success it has missed.
The time for the Norweigan has come to pull off a plan to bring the red side of Manchester back to where it belonged once — the pinnacle of European football. And the gaffer believes he would be successful in his mission.
Manchester United recent performances also herald the sign of improvements. The club is apparently in the right hands and on the right path to seek Champions League football next season.
Although it is visible that the team’s performance has massively boosted by the addition of Bruno Fernandes and the return of Paul Pogba from a long-term knee problem, United desperately need to add some quality to their bench, with the likes of Juan Mata, Andreas Periera, and Jesse Lingard massively underperforming in the current campaign.
Manchester United have been monitoring Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish for a while now, and it is understood that the negotiations between two clubs have accelerated over the last few weeks. Now, it has been claimed that Jack Grealish’s dream move to Manchester United is ‘already done’.
According to former Aston Villa manager Tim Sherwood, Manchester United may have completed their first summer signing in Jack Grealish. Speaking to Premier League Productions via Metro, he claimed:
"“He’s a player that they need. I honestly believe there’s only one club for Jack Grealish.”“I don’t think he can stay at Aston Villa, he needs to progress his career. I think he signs for Manchester United.”"
Sherwood, who was the manager of Aston Villa in 2015, is believed to have some internal connections with the club’s reliable sources. And hence, it could be a massive boost from United’s perspective in the transfer saga.
While playing in a relegation-threatened side, Grealish, 24, has already proven his traits in the Premier League, racking up seven goals and six assists in 30 appearances.
Moving to Manchester United would a huge step up for the English playmaker.
Do you think Grealish could be a starter in this United side?
