Manchester United: Solskjaer set to move for shock former Chelsea star
By Bence Bocsak
Manchester United could make a strange move.
On the evidence of the past few months Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has one clear intention in his attempt to rebuild the Manchester United squad. The Norwegian has clearly identified the winger position as an area of weakness for the Red Devils and will be looking to rectify this shortcoming in the summer transfer window.
Despite bringing in the likes of Daniel James and having someone of the ilk of Marcus Rashford, it is evident Solskjaer is lacking firepower on the wings. Compare the plethora of options the club’s rivals have to offer, such as Manchester City and Liverpool or even Chelsea can now be added to that equation, United are severely behind.
The barren decline in quality wingers has lasted over a decade at Old Trafford. Ever since Cristiano Ronaldo departed United he left a major void which has not been filled.

There has been a lot of talk about a move for Jadon Sancho, however with the current financial market, such ambitions may be too lofty even for a club of United’s stature.
Nonetheless, the financial situation should not thwart the Red Devils from bringing in adequate reinforcements. Solskjaer must look at alternatives in order to boost his squad and hopefully help them get closer to their arch rivals.
And it seems the Norwegian already has a candidate.
According to ESPN via the Daily Express, United have approached former Chelsea winger Jeremie Boga over a potential transfer.
Jeremie Boga currently plays in the Serie A for Sassuolo and has impressed for the Italian outfit this season.
Renowned for his low centre of gravity and explosive pace, Jeremie Boga was often dubbed the next Eden Hazard whilst he was at Chelsea’s academy.
Boga never made the grade at Chelsea but in the Serie A he has managed to hone his game and has blossomed into an astute player.
Of course, Jeremie Boga is nowhere near the same quality as Jadon Sancho, but he has many attributes which could be suitable for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s explosive style of play.
The rapid pace and quick feints are traits which would be extremely welcome at Old Trafford and Jeremie Boga could be an upgrade of Daniel James.
Do you think Jeremie Boga would be a good signing?
