Manchester United feel the Barcelona star is using them.

Over the years, Manchester United have been renowned for signing elite talent. From Sir Matt Busby’s era to Sir Alex Ferguson’s, the pair of them always knew how to discover the top young players around the world and lure them to Old Trafford.

Their innate ability saw the likes of Denis Law, George Best and Wayne Rooney as well as Cristiano Ronaldo blossom into world-class players in United colours. Their names will be forever indelible to the Red Devils faithful and their contributions and trophy hoards are extremely distinguished.

It seems Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is trying to sign players of similar ilk and to follow the same formula as his previous predecessors.

More from Red Devil Armada

United have been heavily linked with a move for Jadon Sancho who is renowned as one of the best prospects in the world. Solskjaer has also signed some exciting new signings too such as Hannibal Mejbri and Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

Recently there have been some heavy reports about the Red Devils making a move for young Barcelona prodigy Ansu Fati. Certainly the 17 year old fits into the mould of a typical Solskjaer signing. The fast and agile winger has been a revelation at the Nou Camp this season and is already drawing comparisons with Lionel Messi.

This ignited rumours about a huge transfer offer for the Spanish U21 international made by Man United.

However according to the latest reports by Mundo Deportivo reporter Miguel Rico via Sports Witness, the Red Devils have denied making any offer for Ansu Fati and feel like they are being used as a ploy by the Barcelona star’s campaign in a bid to earn him a new bumper contract offer.

Of course such rumours would not be a surprise, Man United are one of the biggest teams in the world and their financial might is well documented.

With the Red Devils purportedly pursuing Jadon Sancho it would certainly have been a surprise to see them go for Ansu Fati who is far less established than the England international, especially for around the same sort of money, if not higher with the possibility of add-ons.
