Tottenham Hotspur will host Manchester United in an empty stadium on Friday night.
Premier is back and the wait is almost over. It has been more than 100 days since Manchester United played their last Premier League game – a thrilling 2-0 home victory over their fierce rivals Manchester City.
This time, Jose Mourinho and co will be welcoming Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men in what is expected to be the most anticipated clash of the matchday 30. It is not only the rivalry between two gaffers but also a battle of nerves between Mourinho and Pogba’s unfinished feud.
However, reports surrounding the Mancunian club suggest that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would not hand Paul Pogba a start owing to the French World Cup Winner’s long absence from the field.

Thanks to the pandemic-enforced hiatus, both Marcus Rashford and Paul Pogba are fit and raring to go. The match is going to be a pivotal one for United as some consider it a season-decider for the Red Devils.
But the surge of optimism for the red fans would be the way United left off the season. They were in a scintillating form prior to the lockdown, resulting in an 11-match winning streak across all competitions.
Should they manage to win tonight’s game, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would accomplish an individual new record of a 12-match unbeaten run. Moreover, United have a chance to pull off a double over Spurs in seven years. The last double over Spurs was done in the 2011/12 season.
Therefore, the match holds a different value amongst the fans.
Here is how Manchester United are expected to line-up: (3-4-2-1)
Goalkeeper: David de Gea
Right Centre Back: Victor Lindelof
Centre Back: Harry Maguire
Left Centre Back: Luke Shaw
Right Full Back: Aaron Wan-Bissaka
Left Full Back: Brandon Williams
Central Midfielder: Fred
Central Midfielder: Scott McTominay
Attacking Midfielder: Bruno Fernandes
Forward: Anthony Martial
Forward: Marcus Rashford
The 3-4-2-1 has been Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s no. 1 choice for the 2019-20 season. And it is expected that he would approach the game against Spurs in the same manner.
Phil Jones and Axel Tuanzebe will miss the match due to their respective injuries, Solskjaer confirmed in the pre-match press conference.
For Spurs, Dele Alli, who scored in the return fixture against Manchester United at Old Trafford, will serve his suspension and hence will not make the matchday squad for the Lilywhites, with Giovani Lo Celso expected to be a doubt for the match.
Even though Paul Pogba might not start the game, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed he will get game-time on Friday night. And your awaited dream to see Pogba and Fernandes playing together on the field will come to fulfilment.
