Steven Gerrard set to beat Manchester United to exciting signing
By Bence Bocsak
Gerrard will beat Manchester United in this transfer race.
No matter how many goals Steven Gerrard scored against Manchester United. No matter how many times he led his teammates to victory against the Red Devils, the United faithful will always have a looming edge over his head. The fact that Gerrard never managed to win the coveted Premier League has exposed him to endless taunts and jibes.
It is a failure which the Red Devils faithful will never overlook. The rivalry between Liverpool and Man United is as ancient as time itself and because of those hostilities Gerrard’s name will forever be enshrouded in infamy at Old Trafford.
Even after having hung his boots up the jibes about his career have persisted. Gerrard is an indelible figure and while he can no longer exact his revenge on the pitch, he might be about to do it in the transfer window.

Man United value their tradition of scouting and promoting youth players. It stems from the pioneering years of Sir Matt Busby’s tenure at Old Trafford and has transcended through Sir Alex Ferguson into the modern era.
The Red Devils have one of the best academies in the world and they constantly churn out players worthy enough to play in the first team.
James Graham is a name few would have heard of at Old Trafford. The 16 year old is however regarded as one of the biggest talents in Scotland.
A pacy and agile forward, Graham’s ability was spotted by the Red Devils about a year ago. The Scottish youngster even spent a trial at the club in which he thoroughly impressed.
James Graham also had a trial at club rival’s Liverpool and a plethora of other teams were interested in securing his services.
With new United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer keen to invest in youth and eager to give them a chance, the Red Devils seemed like the front runners for James Graham’s services.
However, according to the Daily Record via HITC Sports, it seems the Red Devils will lose out on the player with Steven Gerrard’s Rangers extremely close to signing James Graham and bringing him to Ibrox.
If the reports are true, it will be a small glimmer of victory for Steven Gerrard against his former rivals.
Do you think United should worry about losing out on James Graham to Gerrard?
