The Manchester United boss could make a huge call.

For over a year now, the rumours about Paul Pogba have refused to subside. It has been perpetually plastered over the media and a hot topic for podcasts and televisions shows to discuss. The Manchester United midfielder looks destined to depart the club, though for now he remains a part of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer‘s plans.

And that could be a vital asset for the Norwegian as the Red Devils look to continue the Premier League season which promises to be a crucial period in Solskjaer’s endeavour to get United back in the Champions League.

The Norwegian will need all the fire power he can get and Paul Pogba is still one of the best midfielders in the world on his day.

More from Red Devil Armada

The French World Cup winner has the ability to change games single-handedly and provide masterful contributions on the pitch. He is both elegant and robust. Pogba can dictate the tempo of the match with his exuberant energy and impeccable distribution.

He is a modern day midfielder, capable of tracking back when needed and conjuring up chances for his teammates in attack.

Despite the speculation about his future, Pogba will want to play and prove he still has what it takes after a particularly bad run with injuries. A few good performances may entice his suitors to pay the extra money United are holding out for their club record transfer.

Much has also been noted about the potential partnership between Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes which has already been tipped as a game-changer despite the two having never played together on the field.

Though it seems the Red Devils faithful will have to wait a little longer to see the partnership in action with The Athletic reporting via the Metro that Solskjaer is set to start Paul Pogba on the bench for United’s first game back against Tottenham.

The game promises to be a feisty encounter. Jose Mourinho will be eager to put a dent in the Red Devils’ hopes of making the Champions League. And while Pogba not starting could be a bold call by Solskjaer, it means the Frenchman will have the ability to make an impact from the bench if things are not going United’s way.
