Manchester United will move for this midfielder.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer arrived at Manchester United with little excitement from the fans. The general mood around Old Trafford was one of relief. Having suffered the dire football under Jose Mourinho the Red Devils faithful were adamant anything else would be a major improvement.

Perhaps even the Norwegian had not expected his role to last his long, but alas after arriving on an interim basis, Solskjaer has done enough to convince the Glazers to give him a permanent position. It is an opportunity, the United boss is taking in his stride.

Having spent over a decade at Old Trafford as a player, Solskjaer understands the core values of the club. He knows what needs to be done and how best to achieve it and the Norwegian is determined to succeed.

More from Red Devil Armada

Solskjaer aspires to take the Red Devils back to the pinnacle of the Premier League after having lingered in mediocrity for some time. The Norwegian wants to build a formidable side, capable of challenging rivals Liverpool and Manchester City for the title.

And it seems the Norwegian could be targeting an ideal player to bolster his squad and help him fulfil his ambitions.

According to the Daily Express via the Metro, Man United are considering making a move for Leicester City star Wilfried Ndidi.

The Nigerian international has been a standout performer for Leicester City this season and has caught the eye over the last few seasons with his immaculate performances at the heart of Leicester’s midfield.

Wilfried Ndidi has been a crucial cog in Brendan Rodgers’ system at the King Power stadium which has almost practically ensured the foxes a place in the Champions League next season.

That means that if Solskjaer moves to sign Wilfried Ndidi he will not only be strengthening the Red Devils but also weakening a key rival as he aims to take United back to the Champions League.

With Wilfried Ndidi’s pace and energy he could be well suited to the Norwegian’s counter attacking style of play and an astute replacement for the Serbian Nemanja Matic who has started to decline in form and is in need of replacing.
