Manchester United have made a huge bid.
While Sir Alex Ferguson was in charge of Manchester United he made a habit of discovering young gems and bringing them to Old Trafford. Ferguson always had a youthful side. He brought the likes of Wayne Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo to the club during their teens and honed them into world-class footballers.
It was a habit which made the club into the giant bastion of invincibility for over thirty decades in a span which saw Ferguson’d Red Devils side lift a total of 13 Premier League titles. The Scotsman was able to stay on the top for so long because he always rejuvenated the squad and made the young players learn from the old.
It was a crucial element. Ferguson had the perfect blend of experienced players and stars with ample potential.

Now Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is trying to concoct a similar recipe at Old Trafford. The Norwegian has brought some experienced players to the club, however he has also brought in young players such as Daniel James and Aaron Wan-Bissaka as well as Hannibal Mejbri.
Solskjaer has also promoted youth from within. The likes of Mason Greenwood and Brandon Williams have made huge impressions in the first team having come through the ranks at the academy.
And in his endeavour to further bolster the squad, the United boss could land the biggest wonderkid in his tenure so far for a huge fee.
According to transfer expert Duncan Castles via the Daily Express United have made a new bid for Ansu Fati worth an initial £90 million but it also includes a further £45 million of add ons.
That could make Ansu Fati the most expensive transfer in United’s entire history and it would be a huge statement of intent.
With the club clearly interested in buying an attacking winger with huge potential this summer, it is no surprise Ansu Fati has been targeted. The Spanish U21 international is only 17 years old but has already caught the eye with some impressive performances in Barcelona’s first team.
Of course, considering United are also interested in Jadon Sancho who is valued at around a similar fee, perhaps the Red Devils will be more inclined to move for the Borussia Dortmund start rather than Ansu Fati.
With the Barcelona star still so young, such a huge price-tag could weigh heavy on his shoulders.
Who would you rather see at United, Ansu Fati or Jadon Sancho?
