Manchester United look poised to make a move.

Throughout the years Manchester United have always had a single philosophy which brought the foundations together at Old Trafford. It has been at the core of the club’s traditions.

The philosophy of promoting youth was birthed by Sir Matt Busby and revolutionised by Sir Alex Ferguson. The two pioneers together laid the foundations for what the Red Devils stand for today.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has attempted to continue the traditions and has already done wonders at Old Trafford in terms of promoting youth. The Norwegian has brought through a plethora of young talent already and has invested money on several wonderkids such as Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

However, Solskjaer’s latest investment could be the biggest one yet.

According to a report by Spanish outlet Sport via Sport Witness the Red Devils are preparing to negotiate with Cristiano Ronaldo‘s agent, Jorge Mendes, to secure a deal for current Barcelona star Ansu Fati.

The Spanish U21 international has burst onto the scene this season delighting the Nou Camp with his rapid pace and silky skills.

Ansu Fati has a clever eye for a goal and a lethal shot.

He is highly valued at Barcelona, with the Catalan faithful regarding the Spanish international as the heir to Lionel Messi‘s throne. The youngster has already scored 5 goals in 24 games playing predominantly on the wing.

Ansu Fati is still just 17 years of age, he has an abundance of potential and his arrival at Old Trafford could be similar to some of Sir Alex Ferguson’s most iconic signings such as when he brought the likes of Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney to the club when they were still teenagers.

The prospect of Ansu Fati lining up with Mason Greenwood could be an enticing one. The pair could form a formidable partnership for decades to come which has the potential to be a fan favourite on the Stretfod End.

Unfortunately, where things stand at the moment according to the report by Sport, Barcelona are unwilling to part ways with their prized asset and have rejected advances from the Red Devils.

However with United desperate to strengthen, the Red Devils certainly cannot be ruled out.
