Agent confirms Manchester United interest in Pep Guardiola target
By Bence Bocsak
Both Manchester United and Man City are interested in this target.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has one single aim at Manchester United. The Norwegian has come to Old Trafford, much like his predecessors, with the aim to help the Red Devils ascend back to the pinnacle of English football.
It is the place where Man United belong and for far too long the team has lingered in mediocrity, hiding in the shadows of their neighbouring rivals across Manchester.
Solskjaer has made the right steps so far. The Norwegian has instilled the philosophy of old at Old Trafford with the club once again placing value on the promotion of youth and bedding young talents into the team.

The rebuilding process will take time, and Solskjaer has embarked on his mission with an eye on the future.
Facundo Pellistri is not a name many would have heard of.
In his native Uruguay, the 18 year old winger is somewhat of a sensation however. Plying his trade for one of Uruguay’s biggest club, Penarol, Pellistri has caught the eye with some impressive displays.
Blessed with lightning pace, Facundo Pellistri possess an impeccable first touch. He is a master of deceit, able to pull off feints to slalom past his opponents.
Pep Guardiola is thought to be a fan of the young star. However according to Facundo Pellistri’s agent speaking on a Uruguayan radio show La Oral Mediodia via Manchester Evening News, not only Man City are interested in his client but also Man United.
Facundo Pellistri is still extremely young and for that reason he would certainly fit into Solskjaer’s new transfer strategy at Old Trafford.
The Norwegian is short of options on the flanks so Pellistri could be an astute addition to help bulk up the squad. Especially with rumours about the potential departures of Jesse Lingard and Andreas Pereira.
Only two Uruguayan players have played for Man United in the past. One is Diego Forlan who’s time at Old Trafford was a mixed bag, and the other is Guilermo Varela who never managed to break into the first team.
If Pellistri signs for the Red Devils he will be hoping to surpass their achievements in United colours.
Of course, for that to happen, Solskjaer will need to beat the man whose team he is trying to conquer.
It promises to be a fascinating transfer race.
