By Bence Bocsak
Manchester United are close to reaching an agreement for this young star.
From the moment Ole Gunnar Solskjaer stepped foot into Old Trafford, the Norwegian’s mission was clear. Solskjaer was keen to get Manchester United back to where they belong. The former Red Devils player’s plans were lofty and his mission would be one which would take some time, however for perhaps the first time since Sir Alex Ferguson’s departure, there now seems to be a clear and cohesive strategy at Old Trafford.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s strategy is founded on wanting to build a team for the future, a team full of young stars with an abundance of potential who could eventually create a new dynasty in the Premier League and in European football.
In his quest, Solskjaer has already promoted the likes of Mason Greenwood and Brandon Williams to the first team and has recruited young players like Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

This summer, he has been touted with a move for one of the most highly rated prospects in the world Jadon Sancho.
However while that move is still on the cards, it seems the Norwegian’s first signing will come from a different continent.
According to Todo Fichajes via SportWitness, the Red Devils are edging closer and closer to reaching an agreement for Thiago Almada with Argentine club Velez Sarsfield and that the deal is ‘very close’.
The report claims that talks are ‘well advanced’ for the 19 year old playmaker.
Thiago Almada is regarded as Argentina’s most exciting young talents at the moment. Of course the inevitable Lionel Messi comparisons have been drawn but that is wide off the mark.
Thiago Almada is a talented player nonetheless. He has been a regular for Velez Sarsfield for the last couple of seasons and has caught the eye with his robust and tenacious style.
The Argentine has a great hunger for the ball and a low centre of gravity. He can slalom past players with ease and is a tremendous creative outlet.
The young star fits perfectly into Solskjaer’s strategy of trying to sign players for the future and he could be an ideal long term replacement for Juan Mata.
This transfer is definitely one to keep an eye on.
Do you think Thiago Almada would be a good signing?
