Manchester United have been given a green light for this Lazio star.

With Premier League set to return in less than two weeks, clubs are more focused on fishing the 2019-20 campaign. Though, talks surrounding players’ uncertain futures keep breaking the headlines.

While talking about players’ uncertain futures, the name of Paul Pogba has been one of the red-hot topics for a while now. Every week some new stories involve around the future of the French world cup winner.

Last week, it was claimed that it is Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola who wants to secure his client’s move away from Old Trafford more than the player himself. This week, we have got a new story regarding Pogba’s future. Reports from Daily Star suggest that PSG are interested in signing Pogba.

More from Red Devil Armada

The rumours of linking Pogba with a move to the French capital are nothing new, but we can not ignore its viability. While we don’t know whether the sources are reliable enough or not, one thing that we are sure of is there are some dark clouds hovering over the 27-year-old midfielder’s future.

Moreover, we can’t write off Mino Raiola. His cajoling words are enough to persuade Paul Pogba’s decisions. Should the midfielder leave the red side of Manchester in the near future, it would be an unbearable setback for his current side.

While there is no room to overlook the fact that the club’s January signing Bruno Fernandes has made a positive impact on the team’s overall performances in Pogba’s absence, we should not neglect that Pogba is one of few world-class assets the club has had in their roster.

Manchester United have reportedly been keeping tabs on Lazio’s superstar midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic for some time now. And if Pogba leaves United this summer, the Serbian star could be a perfect replacement for the Frenchman.

Speaking on an interview with Sky Sports Italia via Express Sport, Lazio’s sporting director Igli Tare insisted that they would consider offers for the Serbian midfielder amidst the ongoing financial crisis. He confirmed:

"“On Milinkovic-Savic, the boy’s relationship with the city and Lazio will never die because there is a very strong bond that has grown over years.”“On the other hand, considering the situation, his wishes, everything we’ve talked about, every situation will be evaluated at the right time without any pressure, but above all for the good of both parties.“If there is a possibility that satisfies the club and the player, it will be taken into consideration.“If there is not, he is happy and we are very happy for him to stay.”"

Lazio’s sporting director’s comments have certainly stimulated excitement amongst the United supporters as the fanbase know how important a player of Sergej Milinkovic-Savic’s ilk would be for the Red Devils.

Lazio has showcased excellent form in Serie A 2019-20  so far and are believed to be one of the favourites to finish the domination of Juventus in Italian top division. This season’s Scudetto would be enough to do so. Having garnered 62 points from 26 matches, Lazio are only one point adrift of the table-toppers Juventus.

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic has played a pivotal part in Lazio’s recent success. This season, the Serbian has made 24 league appearances for the Eagles, garnering 4 goals and 4 assists.

Over the years, Milinkovic-Savic has evolved his game to the next level, establishing himself as a perfect box-to-box midfielder. The 25-year-old has now turned into a perfect Premier League material.

Now it is to be seen what Milinkovic-Savic’s future unfolds.
