Real Madrid hold ‘secret talks’ with Manchester United star’s agent

Real Madrid have reportedly held ‘talks’ with the agent of Manchester United star, Paul Pogba.
The saga is one which refuses to cease. It is never-ending and perpetually changing from one minute to the next. You can hardly keep up, but you cannot stop watching it, listening for it, thinking about it. It is all consuming. For Manchester United and Paul Pogba is has stretched on for an eternity.
The saga had begun over a year ago now. Real Madrid were in hot pursuit of the French World Cup winner during the summer of 2019, but in the end Pogba’s move to the Spanish capital never materialised and the Frenchman ended up staying put.
His time since the summer has not been a joyful one at Old Trafford. Paul Pogba has had to endure continuous injuries and niggles which have thwarted him from making an impact on the pitch.

Headlines about Paul Pogba have not been about his performances but rather over his future. In January another transfer window passed without any move taking place.
Real Madrid looked reluctant to make things happen. The emergence of Federico Valverde has removed the necessity and the urgency for a player of Paul Pogba’s ilk to arrive at the Santiago Bernabeau.
Despite the frantic attempts and cajoling words of Mino Railo, Paul Pogba’s fate seemed to belong in Manchester.
Now as we approach the summer transfer window, which will be unlike any ever before, Pogba’s future is still up in the air, alongside with the future of the window itself.
With the suspension of football bound to put financial strains on clubs around the world, Paul Pogba’s lucrative fee will be one not many clubs can meet.
Nonetheless, it seems Zinedine Zidane and Real Madrid have not given up on their pursuit. According to Le10Sport via the Daily Express, Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane met with Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola prior to lockdown measures taking place to hold a conversation about Paul Pogba.
That suggests discussions are still ongoing and that Zidane himself is keen to bring his fellow compatriot to Real Madrid.
With Man United having resigned to losing Paul Pogba, there will not be many tears shed at Old Trafford, if he does indeed depart. Though it will be a poignant reminder of United’s hasty transfer business under Ed Woodward.
