Manchester United battling Jose Mourinho for ‘£53 million transfer gamble’
By Bence Bocsak
According to a recent report, Manchester United will be fighting Jose Mourinho in order to acquire the services of this exciting young star.
Jose Mourinho is a man who rarely forgets. The Portuguese coach holds a bitter resentment towards most of the clubs who had fired him. He is a man who relishes revenge. One of footballs’ biggest mercenary. He will undoubtedly hold a grudge towards Manchester United for the way he was contrived to leave Old Trafford.
His legacy at Man United will always be enshrouded by the myth of what could have been. His reign promised so much more than what it ultimately became.
However, now fate and circumstances have moulded Mourinho into a rival once more. As the Tottenham boss, the Portuguese coach has set out on a task to topple the Red Devils from their current European spot in the Premier League.

In his efforts to do so, Mourinho will look to thwart the Red Devils’ attempts to sign a potentially key target.
It is no secret Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been determined to recruit an attacking midfielder at Old Trafford. He has been linked with the likes of Jack Grealish and Jadon Sancho recently.
But according to Italian outlet Leggo via the Daily Express, the Norwegian is considering a bid for Italian wonderkid Nicolo Zaniolo instead with Jose Mourinho also eyeing up a move for the AS Roma midfielder.
Nicolo Zaniolo could be a ‘gamble’ especially considering his steep £53 million price tag, since the 20 year old is currently out injured with a long term injury.
Nonetheless, prior to his injury, Nicolo Zaniolo was one of the best players in the Serie A and has been compared to the likes of Francesco Totti at AS Roma.
Fast and agile, Zaniolo has a venomous shot and a hawk-eye for the goal. He could be perfectly suited to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s explosive counter attacking style of play.
Though of course, Jose Mourinho also beckons in the shadows, and the Portuguese will be desperate to get one over his former employers.
The fight for Nicolo Zaniolo between Mourinho and Man United could be a fascinating watch in the summer transfer window.
Do you think Nicolo Zaniolo would suit the Red Devils?
